When I was sixteen, my father was finally able to take me hunting. He had always wanted me to be a good doctor, but I had no intention of doing that. I spent the night with excitement, and when my feet stepped into the snow, I vowed to become a professional hunter. After walking in the snow for an hour, my feet gradually became cold, and I told my father, "Be sure to wear a pair of warm socks," he said with a smile. Challenges
I learned to hunt from my father's instruction and from hunter safety courses. I bought quite a bit of gear (some of it old gear that my father had discarded) and spent quite a bit of time scouting, hunting, and hiking in the woods. Keeping my feet warm and preventing blisters was my biggest concern during hunting. I usually had to walk quite a distance to find prey in a relatively cold environment. I tried walking in cotton socks, but my feet gradually lost sensation as I walked.
